This blog is about my personal experiences.    As certain responsibilities are keeping me in my home base of Toronto, ON I felt it was important to talk about the characters and locales in my city that provide just as much of an adventure as those in far flung destinations.  If you know me, you know that I love the romance and nostalgia of postcards.  I write in letter/ postcard format, but dig a little deeper than “Paris was really, really pretty.  I wish I could look at the Eiffel Tower all day. Le Sigh.”  (Another note:  you may be seeing the expression, “Le Sigh” a lot in this blog).  I want to make conversation and explore the themes that I’ve stumbled upon in my travels and in my life that I encourage you to discuss. That said, I like my lists so I’ll also touch on service journalism in my “Guides & Destinations” links. These are finds I’ve found in my travels and hopefully, they’ll help with your trip planning too.  Some places will be featured in more depth in my “Near” and “Afar” columns as well.

I hope you get to know me via my love letters to the places and faces near and dear to my heart and that I can inspire you to take a journey and capture it.
